Casino Table Games Specialty Games / Carnivals

The school’s objective in this program is to produce a confident, employable dealer, proficient in all procedures of Specialty Games (also known as Carnival Games) in an entry level position.

The Specialty Games focus on three popular and distinctly different games: Pai Gow Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold’em and Three Card Poker.

We also provide training in Let it Ride and Mississippi Stud. 

The course begins with an explanation of all the games and terminology. The student is given extensive hands-on training in making change, check cutting, sizing, shuffling, and cutting the deck. Distribution of the cards and in Pai Gow Poker we also discuss player banking, and player co-banking. Finally, making payoffs and house commissions are addressed along with game protection, various casino procedures, and job interview/audition procedures.

Learning Order of Poker Hands
Distribute Hands
Compare Hands (Banker’s to Player’s)
Pay Bets / Take Commission

Why Learn Specialty Games?

Carnival Games have varying levels of popularity and impact. Pai Gow is a mainstay at most casinos and can often be found in High Limit Salons. Some type of 3 Card Poker is now the clear runner up followed by games like Let it Ride and Ultimate Texas Hold Em.
