Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any casino experience to enroll?
No. Many of our students start with zero casino experience. Our courses are structured to take you from fundamentals to professional-level skills step by step. If you already have experience, the program will sharpen your mechanics, speed, and confidence.
Are the instructors professionals?
All of our certified instructors have more than 10 years of experience, some having more than 30. We also rely on mentors with at least 2 years of real-world dealing experience to help students practice procedures and game mechanics.
Are the courses self-paced?
Yes — CEG Dealer School uses a proactive, self-paced training model.
Students move through the program by learning, practicing, and demonstrating understanding at each stage. Once a student provides proof that they’ve mastered the current material, an instructor unlocks and guides them through the next block of training.
This approach allows us to:
- Adapt to each student’s learning curve
- Move fast with students who excel quickly
- Slow down and reinforce fundamentals where needed
Some students progress rapidly, while others take more time — and both are completely normal. Our job is not to rush students, but to ensure they develop real confidence, accuracy, and casino-ready skills.
What is your refund policy?
CEG Dealer School calculates refunds in accordance with NRS 394.449 using a pro-rated daily tuition model based on scheduled instructional time.
Class Time vs. Practice Time
Each program includes:
- Scheduled Class Time (formal instruction)
- Extended Practice Time (optional skill reinforcement)
Only scheduled class time is used when calculating tuition refunds.
Practice time is an added benefit and is not considered instructional time for refund purposes.
Pro-Rated Refund Calculation (Before 60% Completion)
If a student withdraws or is expelled after the start of training but before completing more than 60% of scheduled class time, tuition is refunded on a daily pro-rated basis, calculated as follows:
- Total tuition paid is divided by the total number of scheduled class days in the program
- This establishes a daily instructional rate
- The daily rate is multiplied by the number of class days elapsed from the date of enrollment, regardless of absences
- The earned portion of tuition is deducted from the total paid
- The lesser of $150 or 10% of tuition is then deducted as a one-time administrative fee
The remaining balance, if any, is refunded to the original payer.
Example
A Blackjack program includes:
- 1 month (approximately 20 class days) of scheduled instruction
- Up to 6 months of practice access
If a student cancels during the first month:
- Tuition is divided by ~20 class days
- A daily rate is calculated
- Days elapsed from enrollment are deducted
- The $150 statutory fee is applied once
Practice access does not extend or alter the refund calculation.
No Refund After 60% Completion
If a student withdraws or is expelled after completing more than 60% of scheduled class time, no refund is required, and the full tuition may be charged.
Refund Timing
All refunds owed will be issued within 15 calendar days of the applicable date as defined by NRS 394.449.
Attendance Measurement
- Attendance is measured from the first scheduled day of instruction through the student’s last day of enrollment, regardless of absences
- Program duration is defined in the enrollment agreement
- Tuition calculations exclude books, supplies, or equipment listed separately
Do I get a certificate after completing a course?
CEG provides you with a certificate for every course you complete.
