The story of CEG is one of unwavering perseverance; an unflinching defiance in the face of what most would consider unbeatable odds. How does one tiny organization become the Largest Casino Dealer School in the World?
Path Less Travelled
Alex Kim wanted a different kind of Dealer School. After cutting his teeth working a multitude of casinos throughout Las Vegas including The Gold Coast, Encore, Cosmopolitan and Hard Rock, Alex established CEG in 2014 to help other people find similar success.
An (Unintentional) Date with Destiny
In what would soon reveal itself to be nothing short of an act of Fate, David Noll stumbled upon CEG, mistaking it for another school nearby. David immediately noticed the spirit of CEG, in an incident where Alex literally helped dress a student prepping for an audition.
With David’s previous experience in business planning, he eventually convinced Alex to let him in.
…And the rest is history.
A New Quest
CEG is a place where dealers come to learn how to deal, so how about a place where players learn how to play? That is exactly the idea behind CasinoQuest. Gone are the days where the only way to learn to play casino games is to actually bet money at a casino. With CQ, you book an hour or 2 and choose a game to learn, test strategies, or just have a good time.
Through a series of business brilliance, Alex and David secured a space at the World-Renowned Fashion Show Mall on The Strip.
And Then the Pandemic Happened
When you’re on a roll and the bets are hitting, along comes a 7.
Just when our classes were filling up at CEG, and scheduling was starting to pick up at CasinoQuest… everything was shut down.
Our assembled crew between the 2 businesses tried all kinds of things, hustling our way week-to-week to keep the business afloat.
The strength of the CEG family that Alex once envisioned bore fruit in a way he never thought possible: a few of our young members came up with the idea to do live YouTube sessions. In a world where everyone was confined to their homes with no end in sight, CEG’s live video play sessions provided our viewers with a few hours of escape .
Our viewers literally saved CEG & CasinoQuest.
Creating Opportunities
When the world opened up again, we all found things had changed. People everywhere realized where their values lay. Some decided to move on from their previous careers, while others decided to push forward with their plans.
The world of gaming was no different, and every casino found themselves with voids to fill.
This presented CEG with fresh, new opportunities…and our goal wasn’t just to replenish the industry with new talent, but to also introduce new ways of going about it. It was our chance to make the gaming world a better place, for both future dealers and casinos.
Reaching out to our network that included many of the Vegas Strip properties, we also attracted new domestic & international acquaintances.
CEG became a Global presence.
Anywhere, Everywhere
Quality instruction, and we’re not stopping at our physical space. Much of the world has gone remote, and so are we! Online classes at dealers.school is live and certifying new auditionable dealers, everywhere.
The Training Center
We became too big for our little box, so we moved to a bigger one, making us literally the Largest Casino Dealer School, globally!
With 20+ staff members (more than 245 years of experience), 10,000 square feet, 30+ tables, and entire new categories of learning, we are now the biggest one-stop resource for casinos, worldwide.
