Pai Gow Poker is considered a specialty game, often referred to as a “Carnival Game” inside a casino floor.

A High and Low Hand are made using poker rankings to compete. By far, Pai Gow Poker is the most popular Carnival game and can be found at most casinos. Learning to become an effective Pai Gow Poker dealer will go a long way to upgrading your resume. 

The average completion time is 2 to 3 weeks.

The biggest difference between PLAYING Pai Gow Poker and DEALING it is: the casinos are very specific on how they want the dealer to play the hands.

Pai Gow Poker, while not a requirement for most casinos, will add extra value to your repertoire of skills under your belt.

Instructors Becky, Lauren & Reno

Becky has had a storied career working at more than 15 different casinos over 50 years. Her resume includes stints at The Fitzgeralds (now the D), the Flamingo Capri (which became the Imperial Palace) the Imperial Palace (now the Linq), the Silver City, Lady Luck (now Downtown Grand) and another 10 different casinos.

Lauren has been a dealer for more than 30 years, and has been a Lead Instructor for CEG Dealer School in Las Vegas. In 2019 she also assumed a management role with Casino Education Investments LLC, the parent company of Casino Quest Las Vegas.

Reno went to dealing school at 19 and started dealing professionally before he hit 21. He has 7 years of experience at Green Valley Ranch, Rampart and many of the local casinos in Las Vegas.
